STINT (Short Term INTernational) is SOON Movement Global’s one to two year overseas internship in reaching every student, every campus and every nation until Jesus Christ is made known. In a world with uncertainty and chaos, we believe this is the time for children of God to bring the news of certainty and hope! Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful but laborers are few" and we believe that we are all called to take part in going and making disciples. Will you be part of continuing to take the Gospel to them? In this seminar, you will find out how you can partake in ongoing global work of God through the stories of three previous and current STINTers.
Derek Lee is staff with SOON Movement Global, currently serving two major roles as the campus director at University of California, Santa Cruz and as National Operations Director. Prior to joining staff, he served in Asia Minor as STINT where he found his calling and passion for global missions. Derek graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with Electrical Engineering Degree and Information Technology Management Certificate. Growing up in Georgia, he is an avid advocate of anything from Atlanta, GA, especially Chick-fil-A.
Katie Cooke graduated from Columbia University in May 2019 and has since been serving as an international intern for SMG. She's currently living in Asia Minor where she serves the Lord by leading social media content teams, directing musical worship at church, and even drawing cartoons that help share the Gospel!
Shinne Park graduated from UC Irvine in 2018 with a degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. She then went on STINT to Kobe, Japan for 2 years and came back this past August. She is currently raising support to join SMG’s 22nd staff class in January 2021. Fun fact: she loves sushi (seriously, she could eat it every day.)
Monica Ha graduated from UC Irvine in 2019 with a degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. After graduating, she STINTed in Southeast Asia from August 2019 to May 2020. Monica is currently in transition, getting re-accustomed to being back in the States and figuring out her next steps.
